Yes , you read it right. Grey headed swamphen is very common wetland birds all over the world. This bird has very bright plumage of Blue and violet colors mix of feathers and red beak makes this bird very attractive.

I have seen this bird in Kasavanahalli lake in Bengaluru. Actually you can find this bird in most of lakes in Bangalore. This bird normally eats the grass present in the lake. It takes grass with beak and then hold it with one foot while eating.
