- Thermals are generated when sun warms the earth surface indirectly heating air closer to the earth surface.
- Physics laws tells us, when ever an object heated atoms loose weight as they become less denser.
- Heated air raises above and soaring birds make use of this warm rising air to gain elevation and remain aloft for extended periods without flapping their wings.
