Rose ringed parakeet is the state bird of Andhra Pradesh state in India. Only Adult male has rose coloured ring around its neck, So it makes impossible to identify females and immature males.

Rose ringed parakeet can live up to 30 years, they are endemic to South Asia , Central Africa and they are also introduced to many countries in Europe and North America.
One of most interesting fact about parakeet is Parrots are considered as Pests in some countries. Because they can damage growing crops and they are the most successful invasive bird species worldwide.
